Women On Tap Announces BBPA as Silver Sponsor of Beer Unlocked

Women On Tap CIC is delighted to announce a new partnership with the British Beer and Pub Association (BBPA), who join as silver sponsor of Beer Unlocked, the organisation's bursary scheme supporting women entering and progressing in the beer industry.

The partnership brings together two organisations committed to building a fairer, more representative industry.

Rachel Auty, Founder and Executive Director, Women On Tap CIC said "We're thrilled to welcome BBPA on board as a silver sponsor of Beer Unlocked. Their support doesn't just fund bursaries - it sends a clear signal from the top of our industry that removing barriers for women isn't a nice-to-have, it's essential to a healthier, more sustainable beer sector. This is exactly the kind of partnership that turns good intentions into real opportunity."

Emma McClarkin, CEO of the British Beer and Pub Association, said: “The BBPA is proud to play a small role in the hugely important work Women On Tap is doing to make our sector fairer, more representative and better.

“Centuries ago, women dominated the brewing industry, so it's only right they should be encouraged and supported to return to a bigger role now, because a more diverse beer sector can only be a good thing.

“The whole team is thrilled that we've decided to sponsor Beer Unlocked, which is a fantastic way to drive progress and help get more women back into beer. Cheers!”

Beer Unlocked launched in 2026 to remove financial and practical barriers for women looking to build careers in beer, from brewing and cellar work to sales and hospitality.
