A 2-hour course on Zoom hosted by Emma Inch, covering the following topics:
- Why podcasts? – what podcasts are and how they differ from radio; who is listening and how engaged they are with the medium; how podcasts can get your message across or help your brand.
- Different types of podcasts – e.g., branded podcasts, scripted podcasts, interview podcasts, audio montage, etc.
- The equipment – the range of equipment you can use to record podcasts, from your mobile phone to a home production desk.
- Software – different types of Digital Audio Workstations (software applications that can be used to record, edit, and produce podcasts) including Audacity & Reaper.
- Music & Sound FX – how to access copyright-free music and sound FX.
- Podcast hosting platforms – getting your podcast out there via platforms such as Podbean, Buzzsprout, Libsyn, etc.
- Publicising your podcast – how to get your podcast noticed and listened to.
