Recently, a number of emails claiming to be from Guild Board members have been circulating, which are in fact scam emails.
If you receive an unexpected email from a Guild Board member and you are not sure of it’s authenticity, please be wary of responding.
Here are the types of things to look out for in scam emails:
- Carefully read the email address for signs of fraudulence
- Look out for misspelling and grammatical errors in the message
- The sender is making an unusual request, such as prompting you to click on a hyper link, asking for money, or requesting personal information.
