Black Cab parks up in supermarkets

Fuller’s stout bottled ‘with the knowledge’

Fuller’s Black Cab stout, the most recent addition to the London brewer’s successful seasonal ales calendar, will soon be arriving on supermarket shelves as the company reveals that it has bottled the beer for customers to try at home.

Launched in pubs to terrific response during November and December, Black Cab is Fuller’s salute to one of the most iconic images of its home town, the London taxi.

Bottled Black Cab is 4.5% ABV and beneath its dark exterior features luxurious red berry notes, toasty aromas on the nose and culminates in a dry, bitter finish.

Fuller’s head brewer, John Keeling, said: “Black Cab is the first stout I’ve brewed at Fuller’s for a long time, and I was very pleased with the reaction we got when it went into pubs late last year.

“By putting it into bottles, we’re giving lots more people the chance to try this terrific ale. The matt black label is very striking and looks great on shelf so I’m hoping customers won’t spend too long navigating the beer aisle before picking up a bottle.”

Black Cab will be available in major supermarkets, including Waitrose, from early March 2012.
