Brakspear expands tenant support team

Pub operator and brewer Brakspear is expanding its tenant support team with the appointment of a marketing assistant and interior design assistant, recruited in response to growing demand for both services from the company’s 127 tenanted pubs.

Scott Golding joins as marketing assistant and Laura Morgan as interior design assistant, both based at the Brakspear head office in Henley. Golding is supporting marketing manager Emma Sweet, while Morgan is working alongside design manager Stephanie Dennett.

Brakspear chief executive Tom Davies said, “We’re delighted to welcome Scott and Laura to our growing tenant support team.  Since introducing our interior design service and then our marketing support, demand from tenants has grown, as they have seen the value of receiving professional help and guidance.

“Now, as soon as a new tenant signs an agreement with Brakspear, our marketing and design teams meet them to discuss their plans before they move into the pub.  With these two vital aspects given additional focus, our tenants are getting their new pubs off to a flying start, meaning they are more likely to grow them into successful, long-term businesses, which is our aim for every new tenant who joins us.”

Brakspear’s interior design service is offered free of charge to new tenants, who also benefit from discounts negotiated by Brakspear with a range of design-related suppliers. Marketing support is tailored to the needs of the pub and can involve help in everything from websites, and menu design to setting up a customer database.

Both new recruits are well-qualified for their new roles at Brakspear. Morgan graduated last summer with a degree in Interior Design from Liverpool John Moores University, while Golding has a business management degree from the University of East Anglia, as well as valuable drinks industry experience, having worked for Rebellion Brewery in Marlow and for wine companies in Australia and New Zealand while travelling.
