British Wild Beer Showcase at Hugo BOSS Regents Street

Guild of British Beer Writers Member James Kellow Showcases British Wild and Barrel-Aged Beers at Hugo BOSS, Regent Street

London, UK – [July 2026]

The British wild and mixed-fermentation beer scene took centre stage at Hugo BOSS on Regent Street last weekend, thanks to Guild of British Beer Writers member James Kellow.

Over two weekends, James curated and presented a showcase of five exceptional British wild, mixed-fermentation, and barrel-aged beers, highlighting the innovation and diversity thriving in the UK's craft beer landscape.

The selection featured standout brews from across the British Isles, including:

- Our Brewery (Northern Ireland)

- Burning Sky (Sussex)

- Holy Goat (Dundee)

- The Kernel (Bermondsey, London)

While some attendees were initially surprised by the bold, fermentation-forward flavours—with more than one guest remarking, "I like it, but is it beer?"—most were delighted and intrigued by the complexity and depth of the beers on offer. The event underscored the growing excitement around British wild and mixed-fermentation brews, which continue to push the boundaries of traditional beer styles.

James Kellow, a seasoned beer sommelier and member of both the Guild of Beer Sommeliers and the Guild of British Beer Writers, shared his expertise and passion, guiding attendees through the unique stories and craftsmanship behind each beer. His work at this high-profile event further cements his role as a leading voice in the UK's craft beer community.
