Rare Breed ale, the delicious brew developed through the partnership of the West Country’s fastest growing brewery, Butcombe and Cotswold farmer and TV presenter Adam Henson, has a striking new pump clip and a slightly lower 3.8% A.B.V.
Launched in 2011, Adam Henson’s Rare Breed combines a shared passion for farming and brewing, using the finest West Country ingredients – Maris Otter malting barley from Adam’s Cotswold Farm Park, aromatic Herefordshire hops and Mendip spring water. It is the quality of the beer that turned this guest ale into a permanent fixture for Butcombe brewery, now available throughout the West Country in both draught and bottle format.
The reduction from 4.2% to 3.8% A.B.V. is in response from customers who suggested a lower strength sessionable beer as an ideal country-pub accompaniment to food. The lower strength Rare Breed is slightly paler in colour, has beautiful, crisp hop freshness and great depth of flavour.
Guy Newell, managing director, Butcombe Brewery comments: “The partnership with Adam and the Cotswold Farm Park has been a great success and the early response from the trade to the new branding has been excellent.”
