CAMRA hosts Q&A on its beer education content request for Guild Members

The Campaign for Real Ale will host an exclusive Q&A event for Guild Members on how to pitch educational materials to the Campaign for its Learn & Discover arm.

The initiative, led by Learning & Discovery Manager Alex Metcalfe, will be discussed on the campaigning organisation’s new virtual pub, the Red (On)Lion, from 2-3 pm on Monday 20 April.

Limited to the first 50 participants, to get involved simply register your interest by logging into the Red (On)Lion and joining a table at https://theredonlion.co.uk/bar/join/Guild-Members

CAMRA is looking for online, text, video and audio content from both paid and voluntary sources to develop a syllabus of materials so that beer and cider drinkers can learn more about their favourite drink during lockdown and beyond. You can find content guidelines available here: https://camra.org.uk/learn-discover/further-info/submitting-content/

Materials will be used for online webinars, podcasts and written tutorials which will range from being freely available to the public to member-only benefits for some of the more in-depth content.

Topics will include (but are not limited to):

  • How to get into homebrewing and cider making
  • Tastings and tutorials
  • Learning more about beer and cider styles
  • How to become an expert beer judge
  • A tour of the nation’s heritage pubs
  • The history of your pint

CAMRA will release material on a weekly basis through both its Learn & Discover platform and its new virtual pub, the Red (On)Lion, where beer drinkers can meet for a chat and live events.
