Are you in the mood to toast International Beer Day on 4th August, with an ice-cold bevvy? Deliveroo, the on-demand food delivery service, is revealing how Brits disagree on the best brew, to quench their thirst, heading into the weekend.
As part of Deliveroo’s UK Beer Barometer for 2017, it has been revealed that cities across the country differ in their opinion of what is the best, highlighting how divided the nation has become when it comes to their choice of ale.
Birmingham, the famed curry capital of the UK favours Asian brewed Tiger Beer – often cited as the perfect companion to Indian cuisine – with Mancunians loving a cooling Mexican Corona.
Down in the south-west, Bristolians are opting for a classic Heineken – the popular lager from Amsterdam – and Londoners living up to their stylish reputation, favouring the posh Italian beer, Peroni. It seems that Leeds and Cambridge have more traditional tastes with both cities opting for craft beer as their brew of choice.

Deliveroo’s alcohol delivery service works identically to Deliveroo’s food delivery; nearby riders collect orders from staff at bars and wine shops and deliver the order to customers, in an average of just 20 minutes.
