According to data collected by Drinkaware, 1 in 4 Brits already do. For January 2023, Beer Dad will be delivering their first specialist alcohol free and low alcohol beer box “The Noughty One” for Dry January 2023, and we have put together a selection of twelve high quality and varied beers, delivered straight to your door. The box will be sold for £34, including delivery, with 1% of all Beer Dad sales donated to Great Ormond Street Hospital.
Remarkably, non-drinkers are actually less likely to consume alcohol free and low alcohol products than their counterparts. And, the highest proportion of people who have tried Lo-No drinks in 2021 included parents, those living with a partner/spouse, and those who are younger (18-35). Evidence gathered showed that amongst the most common reasons UK adults were choosing Lo-No drinks included ‘moderation techniques,’ practical reasons (such as driving), responsibilities (such as children), pregnancy, or limiting their levels of alcohol intake.
So, what are the main variables UK adults look for in Lo-No drinks? Frequent drinkers generally choose Lo-No brands because they look, taste and feel like alcohol. The important details to take away from this is that the Lo-No drink still feels ‘like a treat,’ it feels more sociable, it is more interesting than a soft drink, or simply other people are less likely to notice that you are not drinking alcohol.
Beer Dad welcomes these changes in society, and wants UK adults to explore and enjoy the best Lo-No beers currently available. So, whether you are looking to replace alcohol, or a soft drink, we have been rigorously testing throughout this year and can reveal our final list of twelve beers will include:
- Big Drop Paradiso Citra IPA, 33cl 0.5% abv
- Purity Point Five Pale Ale, 33cl 0.5% abv

Notes to Editor:
Beer Dad is the modern, online beer boutique, for dads who love beer, and those who want to buy beer gifts for them. Each compiled box is made up of twelve different beers selected to match the type of dad. You can also shop in the pick ‘n’ mix section and all deliveries are free of charge to the UK mainland.
The Craft Beer Dad wants flavour forward brews with names like The Hop Monster, Breakfast Stout, and Ice-Cream Pale Ale. Old Fashioned Dad likes more traditional brews, much like the vintage clothing style he’s been sporting these last few decades. Our 9-5 Dads’ need light refreshment at the end of a long working day, with some proper bitters to pair with the Sunday roast. And let’s not forget the New Dad who has it all to come and enjoys alcohol-free beers alongside brews like “Old Man” and “Broken Dream”.
Beer Dad was founded by Jamie Percival who is a beer judge, beer sommelier, and member of the British Guild of Beer Writers.
