A firm believer of gender representation in craft beer, HonestBrew’s buyer Dulcie Neal worked with woman-led craft beer brand Double Barreled and other female brewers to create the Ikaru Pale Ale during the annual International Women’s Collaboration Brew Day (IWCBD) – now available to purchase on the website here.
Luci Clayton-Jones co-founder and Managing Director of Double Barrelled says: “IWCBD is an important day for engaging women in beer – it’s a fantastic opportunity for women, and those who identify as women, to come together, experience a brew day and learn more about the opportunities in beer.”
Dulcie concurs: “The beer has soft and peachy notes with a blend of three hops. It’s very tropical and luxurious. 20p of every can is donated to “Choose Love”, which supports refugees and displaced people. I am very proud to have been part of this process as gender equality needs to last longer than one day”
The limited-edition Ikaru Pale Ale has a 5.7% ABV and retails at £5.59 for members and £6.69 for non-members. It is available while stocks last.
