HOW TO SERVE YOUR DRAGON… Wadworth pack gives pubs a head start

One of Wadworth’s most popular seasonal ales, St George & the Dragon, will be on sale in the pubs from March 1st, and this year operators will be receiving an advance pack which will give them a head start in preparing for the beer.

“St George & the Dragon will be available across our managed and tenanted estate and to our national account  and free trade customers.  It is popular with drinkers  as an accompaniment to the Six Nations Rugby competition, as well as a classic English ale to enjoy on St George’s day,” says Wadworth Product Marketing Manager Ellie Alderton.

“This year we are providing pubs in the Wadworth estate with a seasonal engagement pack in advance of delivery. This gives them all the necessary information and equipment to prepare for the arrival of the beer. We believe staff training is key to the success of an ale, so the pack includes tasting notes and other information to help educate the staff, as well as a pump clip and promotional material.”

St George & the Dragon is a refreshing, biscuity beer with a crisp and tangy palate. Thoroughly traditional with easy drinking qualities to herald the approach of early Spring, it has hints of orange and blackcurrant and has been established as a popular annual favourite for many years.

The ale will be available on draught in selected pubs throughout Wadworthshire from March 1st through April.
