Jubël Beer Founders shortlisted for ‘Young Entrepreneur of the Year’ at the Cornish Business Awards

Tom Jordan and Jesse Wilson, Founders of Jubël Beer, are delighted to announce they have been shortlisted for Young Entrepreneur of the Year at the 13th Annual Cornish Business Awards.

Jubël Beer was founded in May 2017 by best friends Jesse Wilson and Falmouth-born Tom Jordan, both 25 respectively, who discovered a local beer tradition called demi-pêche whilst skiing in the Alps. Finding nothing like it in the UK, they made 5,000 bottles of beer and said if they sold them at Glastonbury they’d quit their jobs to do Jubël full-time, and they did. What was created was a light lager that is infused with a natural peach extract and it has taken the South West by storm since launch. Stocked in 300+ on-trade outlets within the first three months of trading, the beer is now stocked in The Stable and Hubbox retail chains, as well as being listed with three major wholesalers; St Austell Brewery, Nectar Imports and LWC. Jubël also partnered with the SkyBar for their lineup summer events across the South West in 2017 and will be returning for another year of partnership for summer 2018.

Tom Jordan, Co-Founder of Jubël Beer comments:

“This is fantastic news for us and we’re delighted to be in such great company. We’re proud to be a Cornish business contributing to this economy and thriving startup community. We’ve had amazing support from Oxford Innovation and Unlocking Potential so far and it’s an exciting time of expansion for us. We have some big plans for our second year in business and will be announcing some of those in the coming months so watch this space.”

Celebrating the best of Cornish business, the awards are a celebration of innovation, achievement and entrepreneurial spirit within the Cornish Business Community. The event shines a spotlight on the amazing people who help drive the Cornish economy and make it one of the best places in the country to do business. Judges this year include Barbara Sharples – ex Managing Director of The Body Shop International, Craig Girvan – Director of Headforwards, and Kim Conchie – CEO for Cornwall Chamber of Commerce.

The 13th Annual Cornwall Business Awards will be held at St Mellion International Resort on 19th April 2018.
