Liberation Group: lfl sales + 8% over last 10 weeks

Liberation Group, the West Country and Channel Island pub company have announced exceptional trading across all channels over the past 10 weeks.

Like-for-like sales at its 44 managed pubs in the West Country, Jersey and Guernsey have leapt to 8% as they benefitted from the warmer weather as well as taking advantage of England’s terrific run in the World Cup and England’s success. The 21 managed pubs in the West Country, located from Dorset to Gloucestershire, have seen a 12.9% uplift like-for-like sales as customers utilised the outside space and quenched their thirst. Sales in the managed pubs in Jersey and Guernsey saw similar like-for-like rises of 7.7% and 5.3% respectively with customers cheering England on and taking advantage of excellent weather.

We anticipate that we will have seen incremental profit per pub throughout our entire 117 strong estate, including our 73 pub tenanted estate, as they will have embraced the exceptional weather and the football.

Mark Crowther, CEO of Liberation Group said:

“We have focused heavily on ensuring our sites are offering the best and most welcoming atmosphere be it for the good weather or the football. We worked hard to make our pubs the place to be with outdoor TV screens, additional well stocked bars, and laid on BBQs to support the growing numbers and entertain those watching the beautiful game over the tournament. Our pub teams have been exceptional going the extra mile each day and we are extremely proud of the hard work and the dedication shown.”Enquiries:
