Huddersfield-based craft brewery Magic Rock celebrates 10 years of brewing with three limited-edition NPDs available on its online shop, including two new additions in the form of Serendipitous and Ten Magic Years as well as the return of a fan favourite Clown Juice. With a Gluten-Free IPA, West Coast DIPA and a Wheat IPA in the line-up there is something everyone can enjoy and raise a can to for 10 years of great beers from Magic Rock.
The first new arrival is Serendipitous (5.9%ABV) RRP £4.35, this IPA is in collaboration with Kirkstall Brewery to mark that 10 years ago both breweries fired up shiny new brew kits for the first time and created beers that have stood the test of time: Cannonball and Virtuous IPA. Celebrating these first forays into the world of beer, this brew fuses flavours of both Cannonball and Virtuous into one, this IPA packs huge citrus and pine flavours with a spruce/resinous finish.
Ten Magic Years (10% ABV) RRP £7.80, is a celebratory brew paying homage to the Great American Beer Festival champion DIPA of 2011. A beer with gravity-defying drinkability yet packed full of Citra and Amarillo hops delivering huge mango and citrus. With ten hop additions and shot for ten percent ABV to keep the theme, one for every year of Magic Rock Brewing.
The final NPD in the 10-year line-up was chosen by the public on socials when asked to pick a beer that they would love to see make a return – the result… Clown Juice (7.0%ABV) RRP £4.70. Originally brewed in 2012, this version has upped the tropical hoppiness and honed in on the juicy flavours, with a slight orangey spiciness on the tongue. Take a sip and taste the memories!
Magic Rock prides itself on satisfying those with dietary requirements, which is Serendipitous, Ten Magic Years and Clown Juice are suitable for vegans and its entire core range is registered with The Vegan Society and contains several gluten-free options.
