MATTHEW CLARK TEAM UP WITH INAUGURAL BEER MARKETING AWARDS

Beer Marketing Awards

National drinks supplier, Matthew Clark, have agreed a partnership with the Beer Marketing Awards, the first awards of its kind, set out to recognise and celebrate the marketeers and creative teams behind beer brands with a focus in the UK.

Kathryn Chabowska, Buying and Product Controller – Beer, Cider and Soft Drinks at Matthew Clark enthused “The passion, depth and innovation seen within the Beer category is so inspiring, and it’s great to see the launch of the Beer Marketing Awards which will recognise this. In turn, we’re able to raise awareness of a side of our business that is in steep growth”.

Adding: “Our Boutique Beers range and cask offering represents a wide spectrum of brewers alongside our vast wine and spirits range, we’re focused on driving the beer sector; and our range represents many innovative brands, through to the more established brewers who have helped grow this vibrant category.”

The awards are open to all brewers with a presence and focus in the UK and will recognise excellence in the following categories:

The organisers behind this new set of awards, include leading beer writer, Pete Brown, who welcomed Matthew Clark’s support: “Matthew Clark have been doing some really interesting stuff themselves with beer over the last year, building a wide range of products and pushing appreciation of good beer into more places. So it’s nice that this sponsorship is more than just a financial transaction; it’s an opportunity for likeminded organisations to work together and we’re looking forward to collaborating in a bunch of different ways to help make the inaugural awards a great success.”

The awards will be judged by a high profile group including Robyn Black (Drinks Editor at leading trade magazine, the Publican’s Morning Advertiser), Beer Writer Melissa Cole, Tim Hampson (Chairman of the British Guild of Beer Writers) and Alfredo Marcantonio, the legendary advertising copywriter behind the likes of the Carling ‘Dambuster’ ad.
