Continuing its countryside theme, Twilight Tawny is the latest seasonal cask ale from Badger ales and will be available throughout the estate during December 2013. This new porter style ale is brewed with Hallertau Select and Galaxy hops and has a liquorice character derived from the roasted malt and a subtle fruity hop aroma.
Head Brewer at Badger, Toby Heasman, explains: “I wanted to push the boundaries with our Christmas seasonal cask beer and decided to brew Badger’s first porter. Twilight Tawny is a dark 4% porter with lots of character and richness – a perfect beer to enjoy at Christmas. We trialled the beer at our first Beer Festival in October where it sold out by lunchtime, so we knew Badger drinkers were ready for something a little different.”
Twilight Tawny is made with Dorset spring water that has been naturally filtered for up to a century through the Cretaceous chalk downs and drawn up 120 ft from the Brewery’s own wells.
Twilight Tawny will be available in all Hall & Woodhouse houses throughout the South West during December.
