Popular golden ale, Old Golden Hen, has undergone a rebrand, which has seen the brand go ‘out with the old, and in with the gold.’
The fresh new look launched today, will see Old Golden Hen have more of a focus on gold in the new branding, rather than the previous more yellow branding. The new branding will appear across the on and off trade, with the new look bottle, pump clips and other point of sale appearing over the coming weeks.
The new design brings Old Golden Hen in line with Old Speckled Hen and will be backed by a campaign around ‘Life is Golden’, which aims to celebrate life’s golden moments and highlights.
First launched in summer 2011, Old Golden Hen is a 4.1% golden ale with tropical notes and a smooth finish. The golden ale is made using the rare Galaxy hop from Tasmania and gives drinkers a ‘drop of golden sunshine.’
Commenting on the rebrand, Kirsten Alexander, Old Golden Hen marketing executive, said: “It was time to give this brilliant brand a new, fresh look and we are extremely happy with the design we landed upon.
“The rebrand highlights the ‘golden’ of the name and perfectly coincides with the upcoming summer which will allow drinkers to enjoy this golden ale in all its glory. We will also be launching some exciting activity around our ‘Life is Golden’ campaign, aiming to celebrate life’s golden moments.
“Drinkers should keep their eyes open for these upcoming activations as we will be giving away 10 holidays to Santorini, branded summer merchandise and other amazing prizes. It is time to have an Old Golden Hen and enjoy all of life’s golden pleasures!”
