Purity crafts a new beer – Longhorn IPA

Purity Brewing Co will launch a new beer this autumn, Longhorn IPA (5% ABV), which will be the Warwickshire-based brewer’s first ever craft keg beer.

With an orange / light copper colour, Longhorn IPA will have the aromas of grapefruit, pine, peaches, mango and passion fruit. Its taste will be complex, deep fruit with a pronounced bitterness and smooth finish.

The launch of the new beer comes as Purity prepares to formally open its new £1.5m brewery. The new semi-automated Braukon brewing system, which was imported from Germany, will allow Purity to produce the equivalent of 140,000 pints of beer a week, a 150% increase compared to the facility it replaces.

Paul Halsey, Managing Director of Purity, said: “Longhorn IPA will be a fantastic addition to our existing beers, Pure Gold, Mad Goose and Pure UBU.

“It’s been almost eight years since we brewed our first ever barrel and since then our success has been the result of producing beers made with heart and soul, delivering unrivalled quality and consistency. In addition, we’ve crafted a brand that is innovative, fresh and funky, which appeals to younger men and women, as well as traditional ale drinkers. Our beers are equally at home in pubs, as they are in cafes, bars and restaurants.

“Also, by associating Purity with the independent music and arts scene we have created a brand that is cool in what has been historically a very traditional market.”
