London-based LGBTQ+ brewery Queer Brewing has announced their latest collaboration, a pale ale with comedian, painter, and TV presenter Joe Lycett, to celebrate the fourth year of Queens Heath Pride, a community Pride event founded by Lycett in 2022, alongside local pub The Juke.
Queens Heath Pride began in 2021 when Lycett renamed Kings Heath “Queens Heath” in response to local homophobic protest and set out to host the world’s smallest pride march, the documentation of which then became part of his acclaimed 2022 standup show More, More, More! How Do You Lycett? How Do You Lycett?
Since 2022, Queer Brewing have released a collaboration with Queens Heath Pride and The Juke, but this year’s release is the first official collaboration with Lycett, whose painting features on the beer’s artwork.
“I was delighted to help with the artwork for this delicious juicy pale in support of Not A Phase and Queens Heath Pride from my second favourite brewery—the first being whoever brews Skol,” Lycett says.
As with all of Queer Brewing’s beers, a donation from the sales of Rainbow Juice will be made to charity. Queer Brewing donate 10p from every pint and can sold to a quarterly-rotating charity, and they’re currently raising funds for Not A Phase, a charity dedicated to creating a thriving and supportive space for the trans+ community. 50p from each can sold via Queer Brewing’s webshop will be donated to Queens Heath Pride.
“We’ve loved working with Queens Heath Pride for the last four years, and were thrilled when we were first approached to work together,” says Lily Waite-Marsden, founder of Queer Brewing. “When Joe suggested we use one of his gorgeous paintings for the label, we immediately agreed: I’ve loved his work for years and have been hoping to use one of his paintings for a collab for a long time.”
“We’re delighted to have Joe officially on board for this year’s beer,” she continues, “as the whole team are big fans of his varied work and the amazing grassroots community spirit he’s fostered in creating Queens Heath Pride. The dedication to creating a space for the LGBTQ+ community to celebrate, demonstrate, and protest, as well as the ethos of expression and representation it exemplifies, mirror and resonate strongly the values Queer Brewing was founded on and the purpose of what we do.”
Rainbow Juice is a 4.7% pale ale hopped with Luminosa, an exciting hop released in recent years. Tasting notes include aromas of peach lemonade, mango, and citrus, with fizzy peach sweets and papaya on the palate, with a soft and juicy body.
Rainbow Juice is available now via Queer Brewing’s webshop, and to trade customers in keg and can.

Notes to Editors:
Queer Brewing is the UK’s first queer- and trans-owned brewery, making queer beers and beer queer since 2019. Founded by Lily Waite-Marsden after recognising a significant lack of LGBTQ+ representation in the beer world, she set out to take up space in an industry dominated by cisgender, heterosexual, male voices.
Starting as a collaboration project with UK-based and international breweries, the award-winning Queer Brewing has now grown into an empowering brand and fully operational brewery in its own right. Producing a wide range of beer styles with evocative branding to provide visibility and representation for LGBTQ+ people, they’ve raised tens of thousands of pounds for LGBTQ+ charities—first from funds raised from collaboration beers, and as of 2024 by donating 10p from every pint and can sold.
Based in Leyton, East London, they started brewing in their own premises in January 2025, and open their much-loved taproom every weekend to local and LGBTQ+ communities.
