Applications are now open for the 2024 mentorship scheme. The scheme is open to both Associate and Full members of the Guild – whether you’re a national journalist, content creator, blogger, influencer, tour host, editor, work in PR, or whatever else. Have a book pitch you want to get noticed, but don’t know where to start? Always fancied hosting a podcast channel? Or filming Instagram reels? Nothing is off limits, as long as you show passion, determination and a will to collaborate and learn.
The scheme is six months long, likely starting in June, and mentees will be paired with a paid mentor from the Guild who’s best suited to help with their pitch. They should expect six virtual or in-person sessions with their mentor where the floor is open for questions – and the rest is up to them. Sounds exciting? It is.
