Tickets for the UK’s premier beer and brewing trade event, organised and run by the Society of Independent (SIBA), have gone on sale, with thousands from across the industry expected to attend.
BeerX, taking place at iceSheffield on the 16-19 March 2017, is back big and better than ever with a Trade Show that’s twice the size of previous years, a packed schedule of seminars and keynote speakers and the launch of their new ‘BeerAlive!’ Craft Beer Showcase promising to offer the Champion SIBA beers from across the UK in cask, keg, bottle and can.
This year’s BeerX theme is Growth, Sustainability & Excellence and the Programme of Events will concentrate on four main streams: Selling Your Beer, Running Your Business, Brewing Your Beer and SIBA Membership – with a full schedule of Seminars, Keynote Speakers and other Events available online at BeerX.org
“SIBA’s BeerX has grown from humble beginnings into what is now the premier beer and brewing event in the UK, which not only offers a programme of events and seminars to brewers looking to improve their business, but also a Trade Show featuring the best suppliers of products and services to the brewing industry. On top of that there are the Independent Beer Awards, Business Awards and of course a chance to taste the very best craft-brewed beers available in the UK in our brand new BeerAlive! Craft Beer Showcase.” Nick Stafford, BeerX Organiser and SIBA Operations Director.
The decision to double the size of the Trade Show in 2017, which will now inhabit both huge halls of iceSheffield, came after SIBA were overwhelmed by the positive response from Supplier Associates looking to engage with brewers last year.
“As the number of brewers in the UK grows so does the network of suppliers that work with them and as such last year we didn’t have enough space to accommodate all the suppliers requesting a stand. This year we’ve doubled the space but also given each stand more room to breathe – creating what will be a fantastic trade show space for both Exhibitors and Delegates.” Stafford added.
With the Trade Show taking up both halls of the venue, the bars and stage have been moved into a huge new structure being custom built for the event adjacent on the Don Valley Bowl. The “Brewers’ Yard” will host eight regional bars that will serve beer from the SIBA’s eight regional cask and keg competitions. There will also be award winning can and bottled beer for visitors to enjoy.
Brewers’ Yard will also offer delegates a variety of great Street Food, organised by local food specialist company Percy & Lily, and will host SIBA’s Business Awards (Thursday evening) and National Independent Beer Awards (Friday evening).
On top of that ‘Brewers’ Yard’ will also house the public facing Craft Beer Showcase ‘BeerAlive!’ and for the first time ever, the ’Beer Now’ conference – formerly known as the European Beer Bloggers Conference and this year being hosted by BeerX on the Saturday and Sunday.
A range of ticket options are available for both SIBA members and non-members, for more information visit beerx.org
