The Drinks Trust has announced the return of Walk It Together for its second year – an industry-wide initiative designed to bring people together through walking while raising vital funds to support drinks industry people facing challenging times.
Further to last year’s success, this year the drinks industry charity is replicating the event both in London (on Friday 18th September 2026) and for the first time, in Manchester (on Friday 25th September 2026).
The London leg of Walk It Together will begin at the iconic Fuller’s Brewery in Chiswick, setting off from the heart of one of the capital’s most historic brewing sites, and will conclude at Fuller’s riverside pub, The Dial, in North Greenwich. The route brings walkers together for a shared challenge that combines community and purpose, as participants come together to take meaningful steps in support of drinks industry colleagues nationwide.
Walk It Together invites individuals, teams and companies from across the drinks industry to take part in a shared walking challenge over a set period, encouraging physical wellbeing, connection and collective impact. Participants can set personal or team walking goals and raise funds to help The Drinks Trust provide financial, emotional and practical support to drinks industry people when they need it most.
The drinks industry continues to face significant pressures, and demand for The Drinks Trust’s support remains high. Initiatives like Walk It Together play a crucial role in raising awareness and enabling the charity to continue delivering direct help to those who need it.
Nicky Burston, CEO of The Drinks Trust, said: “Walk It Together is about so much more than the miles we cover – it’s about coming together as an industry, supporting one another, and reminding ourselves that no one has to face challenges alone. Every step you take helps us make a real difference to the lives of drinks industry people, and I’d love to see as many of you as possible join us.”
The 14-mile walk is open to individuals, teams and businesses across the UK drinks industry, with no registration fees applied until 30th June. Fundraisers are requested to raise £250 for The Drinks Trust to directly support the charity’s frontline services. The wellbeing challenge is open and accessible to walkers of all abilities.
Walk sponsors are Asahi, Decanter and Mentzendorff. For sponsorship opportunities, contact Jasmine Nicol, Partnerships Development Manager, at jasmine@drinkstrust.org.uk.
