The Queen’s Head in Pinner, London, has completed a £140,000 garden transformation following an investment by pub owner Greene King Pub Partners.
The investment has been used to expand and increase the tradable garden space at the pub, which is operated by long-time leaseholder and Greene King Pub Partner Sean White.
The investment has seen a section of The Queen’s Head’s large carpark turned into a highly appealing and fully enclosed garden space.
A newly built wall now separates the pubs garden from its carpark. A new raised patio and retractable pergola also now enable use of the garden throughout the year.
An attractive gate showing the entrance to the new garden, along with new external lighting and foliage complete the look, making it an appealing space for customers to eat and drink in throughout the year.
As such, the garden also has all-new furniture throughout to sit customers in comfort, significantly increases the number of outdoor covers at the pub, with the aim of increasing its summertime trade in particular.
The Queen’s Head is Pinner’s oldest Inn and is steeped in history. Perennially recognised in numerous industry awards from the BII’s Licensee of the Year award to the Great British Pub Awards, the pub is also featured in the Good Beer Guide.
The pub prides itself on its extensive ranch of beers, including several cask ales alongside modern craft beers, as well as its pizzas which are freshly made on site.
Sean White, Leaseholder and Licensee of The Queen’s Head, said:
“I am over the moon with the transformation of our garden. Thanks to the raised patio and retractable pergola we can now enable use of the garden all year round.
“The new external lighting and foliage makes the garden very appealing to be in too, as does the new furniture.
“I cannot wait for the summer and beer garden season to see it at its very best!
Dan Robinson, Managing Director of Greene King Pub Partners, said:
“I’m really pleased with our £140,000 investment in The Queen’s Head. This garden transformation elevates what is already a very popular pub by growing trade through the garden and increased covers.
“Time and time again Sean has shown he is up there with the very best operators in our trade. I look forward to continuing our brilliant relationship with him in years to come.”
