The Stable – craft cider and gourmet pizza house – to open in Plymouth

The Stable, the craft cider and gourmet pizza restaurant founded by Richard and Nikki Cooper, has today announced that it will be opening up in Plymouth. The brand will be taking residence in Sutton Harbour in the site that was formerly the Vauxhall Quay Bar.

With the country enjoying a cider renaissance, the timing of the new opening is perfect. Work will begin on the site this month [November 2014] and The Stable will be up and ready for business by Spring 2015. Plymouth will be the eighth site in The Stable chain.

As well as starting work on the fabric of the building, The Stable team will be recruiting around 30 team members. Potential applicants must have a passion for cider and pizza and be experts in delivering great customer service and the warmest of Devon welcomes.

Nikki Cooper said: “We’ve identified Plymouth as a city that has great potential for The Stable. There’s a lot of young, discerning students and professionals in the area and we think that we’ve got a great experience to bring to them.

“The Stable is a cathedral to cider and pizza offering over 80 varieties of the West Country tipple. Coupled with our famous pizzas, handmade from the finest local ingredients, and with our harbour-side location, it will be the perfect place to soak up The Stable’s relaxed atmosphere. We can’t wait to welcome the good people of Plymouth to come and see for themselves exactly what we have on offer.”
