Fullers ESB

Photo Call: 1pm, Wednesday 11 March 2015

Open for business: 5pm, Monday 16 March 2015

The White House [8 High Street, Guildford, Surrey, GU2 4AJ], a popular, traditional pub situated in the heart of Guildford, is reopening for business on Monday 16 March following refurbishment. There will be a preview day/photo call for press on Wednesday 11 March from 1pm with a special visit from Fuller’s Dray Horses delivering the first beer order into the newly refurbished pub.

Under the watchful eye of general manager Michelle Frankgate, the refurbishment has seen the pub retain its traditional pub feel with a few modern touches, creating a light and airy space perfect for relaxing by the river. The addition of a new conservatory and the newly renovated upstairs function room provides further space for dining or for private hire.

The new menu, which will continue to boast fresh, home-made pub food, includes sharing plates and seasonal dishes. The bar will, as always, be well stocked with a great array of beers, including Fuller’s flagship brand London Pride and Fuller’s new wave craft lager, Frontier. There will also be a wide variety of wines and spirits, including regularly changing cocktails.

Fred Turner, Operations Manager, said: “The White House is a great pub and this refurbishment has allowed us to make the most of its exciting features. The delicious food offer, alongside our quality drinks range, together with the fantastic location overlooking the River Wey, means there is no better place to relax by the river.”
