Timothy Taylor’s Appoints Louise McLaughlin as Marketing Director

Timothy Taylor’s has announced the appointment of Louise McLaughlin as its new Marketing Director, further strengthening the brewery’s leadership team as it continues to champion quality cask ale in the UK.

Louise brings more than 20 years’ experience in marketing and brand leadership, having worked across a number of major UK and international brands including Carling, Coors, Madri, and Lee & Wrangler Jeans.

Most recently, she held the role of Innovation Director at Molson Coors Beverage Company, where she led multiple innovation projects and successfully launched Monte Carlo, a super-premium beer, into the UK on-trade.

With a strong track record of delivering brand equity growth and increased market share within the UK beer category, Louise is recognised for her strategic brand-building expertise and collaborative leadership style. In her new role, she will build on the excellent work done by Jane Jenkins, who has led the marketing function for over a decade.

Louise will join Timothy Taylor’s on 2 February. Regarding her appointment, she stated: “I’m thrilled to be joining the executive leadership team at Timothy Taylor’s as Marketing Director.

“Timothy Taylor’s is a truly iconic UK brand within brewing and cask ale, with an outstanding heritage and an unwavering commitment to quality, and I look forward to working with the team to build on the brand’s incredible legacy.”

Timothy Taylor’s would like to offer its sincerest thanks to Jane Jenkins for her outstanding contribution to the business over the last eleven years. Her commitment to the Timothy Taylor’s brand and her impact on the brewery’s success will be fondly remembered, and her achievements will be celebrated ahead of her retirement in March.

Timothy Taylor’s looks forward to welcoming Louise to the business and to the next chapter of its marketing leadership.

Ends.

Notes to editors:

In 1858 Timothy Taylor began brewing beer in Cook Lane in the West Riding town of Keighley. He struck upon a successful formula and in 1863 set up and built a larger brewery on the Knowle Spring where the Company has remained ever since.

The brewery remains in the Taylor family and is now the last independent brewery of its type left in West Yorkshire. This independence enables Taylor’s to survive as one of the few brewers still brewing true cask ales in the same way it has always done.

The unique taste of Timothy Taylor’s beers can’t be put down to any single thing. It’s the result of years of hard work, skill and doing things the hard way because it makes the difference. Taking extra time, care and pride in traditional, hands-on brewing and making no compromises when it comes to ingredients.

Our brewers have 100 years of experience between them and oversee every brew. The finest grade barley, Golden Promise, is used along with Taylor’s unique water from the Knowle Spring, whole flower hops from expert growers and the unique strain of Taylor’s Taste yeast. All for that taste of Taylor’s.

Timothy Taylor’s own eighteen characterful pubs in Yorkshire, and Michelin starred The White Swan in Fence, Lancashire. The tenanted pub estate are run by excellent business partners who are part of the Timothy Taylor’s family with some having been at the helm for decades.
