Two-minute applause for Roger Ryman

Today (2nd June) St Austell Brewery’s brewing director Roger Ryman – who sadly passed away last week after a brave cancer battle – would have turned 53 years old. To mark his birthday, and as a sign of respect, the Brewery will be hosting a two-minute applause in remembrance of him.

Brewers and staff who are currently working on site in St Austell will begin the clap at 11am this morning. The applause will commence and finish with the sound of the Brewery’s steam hooter.

The applause will be streamed live on Facebook for Roger’s many friends and colleagues, across the industry, who would like to take part virtually.

St Austell Brewery would like to invite breweries, and friends and colleagues from across the beer world, to join them in paying tribute to Roger – an exceptional brewing talent and our wonderful friend who was taken far too soon.

The applause will be streamed live at 11am here: https://www.facebook.com/events/3569805696381745/
