Magic Rock Brewing, a Huddersfield institution, has announced an opening date for their hotly anticipated second taproom, Magic Rock Tap Holmfirth.
Set in the heart of the iconic Yorkshire village, Magic Rock Tap Holmfirth is housed in a grand Victorian building hailing from 1844; originally built to house the London, City & Midland Bank, the renovation has preserved as many period features as possible. Venetian style windows, exposed brickwork and even the original bank vault, is converted into a cellar (carefully housing Magic Rock Brewing’s award-winning beer!), alongside modern industrial interiors and Magic Rock’s eye-catching branding.
The offering will showcase brews from Magic Rock Brewing’s repertoire – 8 keg lines and four cask lines pouring a range of IPAs, Pale Ales and Stouts, also, salty gose styles and sours: there will be something for everyone to enjoy! Don’t worry if you’ve not got time to stay for a pint – get beer to go from a fully stocked fridge of takeout cans or fill a growler with your favourite brew.
There’s nothing better than food & beer, and Magic Rock Tap Holmfirth has covered all bases; working with Yorkshire vendors to create a weekday menu that offers something for everyone from delicious Yorkshire Platters, filled with delights from Hinchliffe’s Farm Shop, Pies from Bolster Moor and pickles from The Unusual Chutney Company, alongside a plant-based curry, chosen to pair perfectly with Magic Rock’s beer, that is absolutely packed full of spice and flavour and created in collaboration with Dabbawalla, a Birkby company who provide authentic vegan home-style Indian cooking.
Award-winning local roasters, Darkwoods supply coffee, and an excellent selection of savoury and sweet treats will be available throughout the week.
Following on from the original Magic Rock Tap model, a weekly rotating selection of some of the best street food providers will be taking over the basement kitchen every weekend, serving up everything you can imagine, and never dull – expect flavours of Japan, Mexico, Ethiopia, Morocco and everything in between!
With a 60 capacity event space for hire, Magic Rock Tap Holmfirth is the ideal location to celebrate a special occasion, hold a meeting, or hold a gathering.
