What is the one thing you'd like to tell visitors to the Guild's website?

Passion!

What you can offer as a writer/beer lover?

Richard Dakin is a retired D&T and Special Needs teacher, and formerly worked as a BBC radio studio maintenance engineer at Portland Place. His engineering, teaching, and many years of home brewing experience, alongside visiting many breweries for a chat, has helped him to attain a broad knowledge base. He has noticed that head brewers know more about beer than people who have been drinking their products in the pub! Richard attempts to think laterally when problem solving.

He is a member of CAMRA, the Brewery History Society and the Society for the Preservation of Beers from the Wood (SPBW), where he is on the judging panel. Richard has written for The Daily Telegraph and Drinks Retailing News.
