Bath Ales has increased production of its newest seasonal ale Forest Hare

Bath Ales has increased production of its newest seasonal ale, Forest Hare, with an extra 35,000 pints ​being made ​ this year!  The ale is off to a flying start as demand for the beer soars.   Forest Hare made its debut in 2012 – and its hoppy flavour and heady autumnal aroma has delighted drinkers ever since.   Specially brewed using imported seasonal hops with wheat and barley malt, Forest Hare has a fresh taste and crisp palate that fits perfectly with the change of season.   This year significantly more of the beer will be brewed to supply pubs across the South West as thirsty drinkers come in from the cold.   Gerry Condell is the head brewer at Bath Ales and the brains behind Bath Ales’ beers. He said: “As the seasons change, so do our tastes. Beer lovers might opt for a light pale ale during the summer months, but switch to something a little heavier as the nights draw in.”   “We took a lot of care and attention to get the recipe right, but it was well worth it as Forest Hare is proving to be one of our most popular seasonal ales.   “Personally it’s a favourite of mine as we’ve crafted this beer with heavy hints of autumnal fruits – perfect with game and meat pies, casseroles and strong or mature cheeses.” Forest Hare (3.9% abv) is available on draught in pubs and bars in the South West from now until November, including Bath Ales’ craft beer bar, Beerd, in Bristol and its newest venue Colston Street Bar & Kitchen in the Colston Hall.
