Box Steam create exclusive craft ale for prog rockers Big Big Train

Box Steam Brewery are excited to announce the launch of their latest craft beer created in partnership with award-winning progressive rock band Big Big Train.

The bespoke beer, named after the band, celebrates Big Big Train’s fans’ appreciation of fine craft ales.  The prog rock community, who are well known for their interest in real ale and craft beers, have already embraced the collaboration which fits exactly with the brewery as Box Steam produce only the finest quality ales.

At 4.5%, Big Big Train is a dark brown porter and involves a contrast of the bitterness of roasted barley and malts with a subtle vanilla sweetness.  The beautiful dark oak-coloured ale produces a sweet, molasses aroma, tasting rich and smooth with a hint of chocolate.

Big Big Train, the band, won the Breakthrough Award in the 2013 Progressive Music Awards in Kew Gardens, London and their latest album, ‘English Electric: Full Power’ has just been released. The win has given the band a lot of promise for a successful 2014 and Box Steam Brewery are delighted to be working with such stars of the Progressive Rock genre.

Box Steam Brewery is an award-winning independent, regional craft brewery founded in Wiltshire in 2004. The team is passionate about producing great independent craft beer to the highest standards and all of the portfolio ales are inspired by the life and works of Isambard Kingdom Brunel.

If you would like to try Big Big Train, it is exclusively available at BBT live events, from the Box Steam brewery shop and website www.boxsteambrewery.com
