With only three weeks to go until Le Grand Départ, cycling is hot news in Yorkshire.
Award winning Yorkshire Coast microbrewery, Wold Top Brewery has guaranteed its piece of the action with a cycling inspired beer, Hello Velo, that is proving to be the summer’s best selling ale.
Hello Velo is a completely British beer and is brewed using 98% home grown barley, pure, Wolds filtered water and UK grown Goldings and First Gold hops.
Brewed to celebrate the Tour’s first time Yorkshire start, Hello Velo has been shown at the UKTI Heritage and Lifestyle event at the British Ambassador’s Residence in Paris and
will be quenching the thirsts of cyclists throughout Yorkshire as the Brewery sponsors the following summer sportives;
William’s Farm Kitchen 100k Holderness sportive takes place on 22nd June and riders are rewarded with a pint of Hello Velo and a BBQ at the finish.
The Wolds 123 takes place on 29th June and is a challenging 123k ride that takes in the glorious Wolds villages of Thixendale, Warter and Millington plus the Howardian Hills surrounding Castle Howard. The Wolds 123 is organised by local bicycle frame manufacturers, Baldwin Titanium, along with cyclemarketing and branding company DCH Design.
Last, but by no means least, comes the 146 mile Yorkshire Wolds Cycle Challenge that the Brewery has proudly supported every year since it started. The two day event raises vital funds for Ryedale Special Families and has a camping stop half way (your tents are taken there for you!) that includes a BBQ and Hello Velo on draught.
