Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 July 2022
10am – 5pm
The Open Market
Brighton
BN1 4JU

Building on the success of the pop-up Alcohol-Free Off-Licence in London’s West End, Club Soda is bringing its Mindful Drinking Festival to the seaside this summer! Filling Brighton’s famous Open Market with the best low and no-alcohol drinks available, the tenth outing for Club Soda’s Mindful Drinking Festival will be a two-day event showcasing:

  • Over 40 low and no alcohol drinks to try, including all your favourite cocktails.
  • Cocktail masterclasses, beer tastings and drink talks with local experts
  • Inspirational talks and panels by influencers and experts on changing drinking habits and living healthier lifestyles.

The free to attend festival is supported by Noughty Alcohol Free Sparkling Wines. The two-day event will give anyone looking for great new drinks the opportunity to taste the best in this growing low and no market, including craft beers, wines, spirits, lower-sugar sodas, tonics and infusions.

Club Soda is the UK’s Mindful Drinking Movement, committed to creating a world in which people drink more mindfully and live well. The organisation supports individuals to:

  • Change their drinking habits by cutting down, taking a break or stopping for good
  • Choose better alcohol-free drinks by discovering the best low and no alcohol brands
  • Connect with others through online communities, and events like the Mindful Drinking Festival

The boom in low and no alcohol drinks has been fuelled by the 25 million people in the UK changing their drinking habits[1]. Not happy to put-up with a compromise drink when at home or going out, mindful drinkers of all kinds are reaching for the new wave of alcohol-free beers, spirits, wines and craft sodas. While overall alcohol consumption is expected to have declined in 2020 the low- and no-alcohol market is continuing to expand, with consumption expected to grow 31% by 2024, according to the IWSR.[2].

Club Soda founder Laura Willoughby MBE, said: “A festival in Brighton has been a long-time in the planning. We are so glad this is our first big event after covid. You don’t have to be alcohol-free come along, you may just want to swap out a few alcoholic drinks for something a bit healthier. So, whether you’re going sugar-free, on a fitness regime, drinking more mindfully, or going alcohol-free, we think you will find something to hit the spot. ”

Amanda Thomson founder of Noughty Alcohol Free Sparkling Wines, said: “It’s such a pleasure to be partnering with Club Soda for this inspired festival.  Brighton is the perfect summer location for our alcohol-free bubbles.  We very much look forward to popping corks with everyone in the South East!”
