Charity Partnership 2022 – The Lullaby Trust

Brook House Hops are pleased and proud to announce their official charity partnership in 2022 will be with The Lullaby Trust.

The Lullaby Trust exists to raise awareness of sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS), provide expert advice on safer sleep for babies and offer emotional support for bereaved families who have lost a baby.

Throughout the year the whole Brook House Hops team are hoping to get actively involved and support fundraising initiatives for this extremely important and worthwhile charity. They will also provide the opportunity for brewery customers to show their support too if they wish and further details on specific events and activities will be announced in the coming weeks and months.

The Lullaby Trust charity is particularly close to the heart of Operations Director, Gareth Price who shares his personal experience of using their support services.

“In 2014 and 2018 my family and I had the need to directly interact with The Lullaby Trust, owing to the death of our two baby daughters, from SIDS.  No one can still explain SIDS or what causes it, but I can explain the horrendous impacts of it.  Not having an answer to “why” will forever haunt us but The Lullaby Trust have helped us all to try and live with it, the best we can.  Not only are they there for support but they are leading the way in research to try and understand what causes it.  We have been fundraising for them ever since 2014 and my family’s aim is to hopefully stop this happening to even 1 other family.”

If you would like to pledge a small donation now to help Brook House Hops with fundraising and show your support their Just Giving page is now active.

We’re hugely grateful for any amount to help raise much needed funds for The Lullaby Trust to keep continue with their important work, research and vital support for families.

Brook House Hops is a hop farm and producer based in Herefordshire, UK, established in 2015. They grow their own hops which are truly unique thanks to the rich, red, Herefordshire soil.  With over 400 acres of hops spread across 2 sites they account for around 15% of all hops grown in the UK and use a mixture of the latest technology and traditional farming expertise. Brook House also sources niche hop strains from around the world and are meticulous about quality.

Brook House was established to give customers flexibility in their choices and access to the very best UK hops, without having to go via a traditionally inflexible hop merchant.
