Countdown to Re-Opening from Cask Marque

With pubs being closed for over three months there is much preparation to undertake to welcome customers back and give them a great beer experience.

Cask Marque the beer quality champions have produced a four-week re-opening programme for the cellar and the bar covering:

In the Cellar In the Bar
  • Replacing stock
  • Equipment maintenance
  • Line cleaning check
  • Cellar practices
  • Ice Machines
  • Fridges
  • Glasswashing Machines
  • Bar equipment

Paul Nunny Director of Cask Marque highlight the important of preparation “ Three months is a long time with equipment not being used. Would you leave your car for 3 months? Pubs need to test their equipment and get the cellar fit for use. If there are any issues call into technical services for support. Don’t leave it to the last minute”

The guide is presented as a simple check list.  It is available to print it off  https://cask-marque.co.uk/Re-opening-Checklist.pdf

In a similar vain BII has produced a helpful guide for its members covering the wider aspects of reopening which for members can be downloaded from the BII website.

Be ahead of the game
