Having exceeded the initial Crowdcube funding goal of £350,000 Duration are beginning their journey toward building an immersive taproom with 450 investors along for the ride, continuing their raise on Crowdcube for another week! Overfunding for their stretch goals will help the brewery compound and accelerate their business plan to further expand the brewhouse, enhance the canning line, install a dedicated in-house laboratory. Overfunding will also enable the farmhouse brewery continue to bolster sustainability efforts by planting a fruit orchard, expanding its water treatment plant and adding rainwater recapture to the brewery roofs.
Of the campaign success Miranda Hudson says:
“We have been utterly blown away by the support our project has received. Right from early days grant funding to get the brewery built, through the pandemic with webshop orders, and now with our crowdfund on Crowdcube. People continue to astound us with their goodwill. It just goes to show small investments from many supporters sure adds up and it counts for a lot to have people rooting for us.”
Miranda continues “It’s definitely the right time for us to take things to the next level at Duration, we’re creaking at the seams so expanding capacity to meet demand and building a dedicated taproom is our principle focus. Plus reaching and exceeded our initial raise target of £350k means the project is green lighted to go ahead – giving potential investors waiting in the wings the confidence to get on board and join us For The Duration. Now, with just a few days left on the raise we are looking to reach for some great stretch goals for the business with overfunding!”.
Of the event head brewery Derek Bates says:
“We’ll be sharing a first exclusive glimpse inside the future tap as well as answering any questions potential investors might have about anything from our dividend scheme and rewards to why we’re opting for staff equity to reward our biggest asset – our team too. I’ve held the image of what I want to build for Duration in my minds eye, my vision has grown at every other brewery I’ve worked at and I can’t begin to tell you how special and unbelievable it is to see that vision I hold dear for good beer, made with good people in a way that respects where we are coming to life brick by brick. And of course, you can’t come to see a brewery without enjoying a beer – so on the night we’ll be hosting a drinkalong directly after the more webinar – an after party of sorts”.
Our investor evening is in two parts
First, an hour long webinar via google meet at 7pm followed by an optional hour long social drinkalong on instagram live at 8pm. Both events are free to join.

A brief brewery tour will show you the interior of the site, including an exclusive first look at the derelict portion of the stone barn earmarked for the future taproom. Then following a project outline and timeline for delivery there will be a Q&A with the founders.
Register for tickets and all attendees are invited to order in some beers to enjoy during the event. These can be purchased locally or via the brewery webshop for home delivery here. Webshop order cutoff is 12PM Mon June 13th.

Drinkalong Information:
Join us over on the brewery’s Instagram live for more informal and optional drinkalong at 8pm. This will include a 15 minute brewery tour and 45min guided tasting led by Head Brewer Derek Bates (formerly at BrewDog and Brew By Numbers). During the tasting the beers we will try will be For The Duration 4.5% Pale Ale, Turtles 5.5% American Pale, For Wallace 3.5% Patersbier and Folding Money 3.4% Micro Helles.
