Holy Moley! Badger launches a new cask ale

holy_moley_clip1Badger is launching a new seasonal cask ale which will be available throughout the estate during February and March 2014.

Gloriously smooth and 4.7% ABV, Holy Moley will have Badger lovers everywhere tunnelling to their nearest Hall & Woodhouse pub to sample this delicious beer, with its rich, pronounced hop character and moreish biscuit base, brewed from a combination of ale, amber and crystal rye malt.

Commenting on the latest countryside-themed seasonal beer, Head Brewer Toby Heasman explains, “This is one of the first beers we brewed in our pilot brewery and was developed with Graham Werro, our technical support brewer for our Beer Festival last year.  It was one of the most popular beers at the festival, so a mole was born.

Holy Moley is made with Dorset spring water that has been naturally filtered for up to a century through the Cretaceous chalk downs and drawn up 120ft from the Brewery’s own wells.

Holy Moley will be available in all Hall & Woodhouse houses.

Background information:

Hall & Woodhouse has been brewing Badger ales in the heart of the Dorset countryside since 1777.  As one of the leading independent brewers in the UK, Hall & Woodhouse is well known for its range of award-winning ales brewed under the Badger brand and its network of public houses throughout the South of England. The Brewery, which is now managed by the fifth generation of the Woodhouse family, is justifiably proud of the quality of its ales which are brewed with Dorset spring water filtered through the Cretaceous chalk downs and drawn up 120 feet from the Brewery’s own wells.
