London Craft Beer Cruise announces 2019 dates

The London Craft Beer Cruise Company offers four hour cruises along the River Thames with London’s best craft beer, Kentish cider, handmade cocktails and delicious food. Sailing aboard The Pride of London, guests will take in the best views of London while enjoying great beer from 10 London breweries.

From April until September 2019, every cruise will celebrate a featured brewery in partnership with Craft Metropolis, an online beer subscription service showcasing London’s beer scene. One beer will be selected to pour on the cruise and also offered as the beer of the month on the Craft Metropolis website. A £5 discount on cruise tickets is available to Craft Metropolis members.

April 2019’s featured brewery is Hackney’s The Five Points Brewing Company and hot food will be available from Walthamstow Dogs. Cider will be supplied from Nightingale Cider Company, specialising in traditional Kentish ciders, and cocktails from Longflint Drinks Co, who produce handmade cocktails with natural botanicals and use only the finest craft gin, rum, vodka and mezcal.

While guests take in the sights of The Houses of Parliament, Tower Bridge and Greenwich Peninsula, they will be joined by a team of accredited Beer Sommeliers offering informal tutored tastings during the cruise. Representatives from the breweries featured on each cruise will answer questions about their beer. There will also be a fully stocked bar with other drink options. During the last hour of the journey, live music will keep the atmosphere going.

Company founder James Kellow describes the London Craft Beer Cruise as a beer festival on the water with a difference, saying:

“Everything is better on a boat. For Londoners, the Craft Beer Cruise is the perfect opportunity to be a tourist in your own city and see some fantastic views from the water. And if I were a tourist in another city and someone said to me that I could see best sights of city on a boat while drinking the best beers of that city, I wouldn’t need any more convincing!

“I’ve run a number of these craft beer cruises now and I can say with certainty that everyone always enjoys themselves because there’s something for everyone – it doesn’t matter if you even like beer or not because it’s also a relaxing afternoon spent with friends or family on the Thames. But if you do like beer, that’s a bonus because you will appreciate the diverse range of beer on offer.”
