Huddersfield-based craft brewer Magic Rock has secured a listing with Tesco for the newest addition to its core range line-up. Hazy 5% IPA Murk-Life Balance is also the very first of the brewery’s range to showcase its redesign.
Murk-Life Balance, a nod to the increasing number of people working from home and adapting to the ‘new normal’, hit Tesco stores in both single and four-pack 330ml canned formats on 14 September 2020.
The brand refresh, which will be phased into the full range over the coming months, was undertaken to bring the brand front and centre and to create a more inclusive feel. An important design element was to move the logo to a more prominent position to help build awareness and familiarity for the brand but by keeping the integrity of the previous branding. It also sees the style of beer bigger and more noticeable on can to make it easier and quicker for consumers to find exactly what they’re looking for.
Magic Rock co-founder and managing director, Richard Burhouse, said: “The last six-months have been challenging and we’ve all had to learn to adjust to the new norm. This beer reflects that new outlook that many of us now have, with more of an emphasis on family life and juggling the overlap between work and home. This beer is a shout out to anyone looking to restore that balance! We can’t wait to hear what customers think of this first beer to feature Magic Rock’s sharp new look too.”
