Meantime install Brewery Fresh tanks in the Marquis Cornwallis, a Mitchells & Butlers pub in Russell Square.

Greenwich-based craft brewer, Meantime Brewing Company brings its ‘Brewery Fresh’ tank beer to the Marquis Cornwallis in Russell Square. The tanks have been installed in the newly reopened pub and will spoil drinkers with a lager that’s as fresh as the day it was made.

Meantime’s Brewery Fresh Lager is dispensed straight from specially engineered tanks installed in outlets. The beer is delivered by Meantime’s tankers direct from the maturation tanks within the brewery in Greenwich to the tanks in outlet, creating a unique way of serving beer. The beer is a well-rounded and smooth lager, with enhanced flavours and aromas.

The Brewery Fresh Lager continues to mature in the tanks, allowing the flavours to develop even whilst it’s in the pub. The process also means the beer has no contact with oxygen until it hits the glass, ensuring ultimate freshness. Meantime has pioneered the integration of Brewery Fresh tanks into bars and pubs within the UK since 2014, and expect to the number of installations increase throughout 2016.

The brew will be the perfect addition to the Marquis Cornwallis impressive selection of speciality craft beers and its freshly prepared food offering using quality and seasonal ingredients. Nestled within the bustling area of Bloomsbury, its handsome exterior coupled with its bright and contemporary interior make it an attractive spot for drinkers.

CEO of Meantime Brewing, Nick Miller said:

“Brewery Fresh tanks ensure Meantime’s beers retain the flavour the brewer originally set out to create – unaltered by the processes that other industrial lagers go through that can diminish these flavours. We’re pushing craft beer further than ever with Brewery Fresh Lager, using the latest technology to answer drinkers’ call for a fresher, even better-tasting beer.”

Alastair Hook, founder and BrewMaster at Meantime concluded:

“I like to think there is only one place to really drink beer – straight from the maturation vessels in our brewery. With Brewery Fresh Lager, Meantime has found the brewers’ Holy Grail; this beer is unfiltered, naturally carbonated, unpasteurised and as fresh as it could be, served direct from tanks in your local. It tastes just as good as it does when I drink it in the brewery.”
