Meantime Launch ‘BrewFest and Friends’ on Greenwich Peninsula

Meantime-logoMeantime Brewing Company has today announced the launch of ‘BrewFest and Friends’ – a three day celebration of quality local London produce, plus over 180 of the best craft brews from around the globe.

Launching on Greenwich Peninsula, just steps from the 02 Arena, from 29 – 31 August, the three day festival sees Meantime’s hugely successful BrewFest concept return bigger and better than ever before with over 80 draft lines and 180 different beers available. Featured Friends will include local retailers, selling everything from arts and crafts to luxury gelato, some of London’s finest street food and London musicians, performing a range of live music, from jazz to rock and roll.

Visitors looking to sample the wide variety of innovative UK, USA and European craft beers on offer, from rare speciality brews through to firm favourites, can buy tickets either in advance on Billetto or at the door on the day. Meantime’s expert beer sommeliers will also be on hand to conduct beer tastings and suggest beer and food pairing options. Anyone looking to enjoy the experience without sampling the global beers is welcome to attend for free.

Local Greenwich retailers and high-profile London street food vendors provide a mix of some of the best artisan dining experiences the capital has to offer. This year the likes of Tongue ‘N Cheek, Green Goat and The Cheese Truck will be in attendance, serving up a mix of sustainable British fare ranging from offal infused ‘Heartbreaker’ burgers to the finest grilled cheese sandwich available in the UK. For those wishing to experiment further with beer, there will specially crafted bespoke beer cocktails at the event too.

What’s more, Meantime’s Beer Box just next door will give fans the opportunity to sample a pint of Brewery Fresh Lager. Also on offer will be Meantime’s revolutionary virtual reality headset, offering fans the ultimate multisensory Meantime experience – a 3D virtual reality brewery tour.

Richard Myers, Marketing Director at Meantime says:

“The idea behind BrewFest and Friends is one born out of a passion for high quality ‘craft’ products and the close ties we have with other local producers, largely from our hometown of Greenwich. We think BrewFest and Friends presents us with the perfect opportunity to showcase and celebrate some fine local artisan products and producers that we know our new and existing BrewFest fans will enjoy alongside the main attraction – the beer.”

BrewFest and Friends is open from Saturday 29th August between 11am-10pm, Sunday 30th August between 11am-10pm and Monday 31st between 11am-7pm. Tickets cost £20 in advance or £25 on the day, including entry, 5 beer tokens which are exchangeable for 1/3rd pint each, a Meantime branded glass, wristband and a BrewFest and Friends programme. Additional beer vouchers will be available at the on-site Meantime bank, in exchange for cash. Tickets can be purchased here http://www.meantimebrewing.com/brewfest-friends-2015
