MOLSON COORS PICKS UP SEVEN MEDALS AT INTERNATIONAL AWARDS

Seven brands from Molson Coors Beverage Company’s portfolio were awarded medals by a panel of industry experts at the prestigious International Beer Challenge.

Its recently launched Madrí Excepcional won a gold medal in the lager category, building on the success the brand has enjoyed since launching in the UK and Ireland in October 2020. The European-style lager was created in collaboration with Madrid’s La Sagra Brewery, and has now been installed in more than 5,000 outlets.

Sharp’s Brewery’s Atlantic Pale, Sea Fury and Wolf Rock ales were all awarded silver medals in the Ales category. Meanwhile, the popular Doom Bar amber ale secured a bronze medal in the Ales category, and its Offshore Pilsner earned a bronze in the Lagers category.

Its Camel Valley Pilsner, an exclusive collaboration with neighbouring Camel Valley Vineyard, was also a bronze medal winner in the Speciality Beer category, rounding off a successful awards ceremony for the Cornwall-based brewery.

The International Beer Challenge rewards and promotes excellent beers from around the globe whilst providing brewers with a platform to promote their beers to trade and consumers. It receives entries from no fewer than 40 countries into over 80 different categories reflecting the diversity in brewing today as well as the traditional beer categories.
