More Than 12 Lambic Producers Participate in the Toer de Geuze 2024

Tickets for the HORAL buses are available online

In 1997, four lambic breweries and two gueuze blenders organised the very first Toer de Geuze. Over the years, these open brewery days in the Pajottenland and the Senne Valley have grown into a well-attended, biennial beer weekend. The next edition will take place on Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 May. That weekend, Boon, De Cam, De Troch, Den Herberg, Hanssens, Lambiek Fabriek, Lindemans, Mort Subite, Oud Beersel, Tilquin, Timmermans, and also HORAL’s two newest members, Eylenbosch and Kestemont, will open their doors for the public. The visitor centre De Lambiek is also open all weekend.

The Toer de Geuze is the largest beer event in the province of Flemish Brabant. The craftsmanship and passion of the lambic brewers and gueuze makers are central. Beer enthusiasts from all over the world visit the producers who keep the medieval tradition of spontaneous fermentation beers alive. Admission is free everywhere.

Toer the Geuze bus
One can do the tour with one’s own transport (car, bicycle…) or one can also book a seat on one of the 25 coaches provided by HORAL. A ticket costs EUR 19.90 per person. All HORAL buses depart from either Halle or Denderleeuw train stations. You can make a reservation via www.toer-de-geuze.be.

Shuttle bus to/from Visitor Centre De Lambiek
Visitor centre De Lambiek organises numerous activities during the Toer de Geuze weekend. That is why a shuttle bus leaves from De Lambiek to Halle station on Saturday and Sunday mornings. Upon arrival the passengers can transfer to one of the HORAL coaches, which visit four producers. At the end of the day, the shuttle bus takes you back to De Lambiek. This shuttle bus is free. Reservation is mandatory if you want to use it.

The High Council for Artisanal Lambic Beers was founded in 1997. This non-profit organisation unites the vast majority of gueuze blenders and lambic breweries in the provinces of Flemish and Walloon Brabant (Boon, De Oude Cam, De Troch, Den Herberg, Eylenbosch, Hanssens, Kestemont, Lambiek Fabriek , Lindemans, Mort Subite, Oud Beersel, Tilquin and Timmermans). Together they represent more than 80% of traditional lambic production. HORAL promotes authentic lambic beers, in particular the Oude Geuze and Oude Kriek. The association also takes initiatives to protect these beers
