Morgenrot Adds More Bang to Its Craft Beer Line Up

Manchester-based importer Morgenrot has further bolstered its world craft beer portfolio after signing an agreement to distribute the highly sought-after and utterly unique Pang Pang beers from Sweden.

Set up in 2010 by lone brewer Fredrik Tunedal, Pang Pang is the oldest craft brewery in Stockholm and has generated a reputation for producing some of the most eye-catching and distinctive beers seen and tasted within the booming Scandinavian craft beer market.

A recent example, which created a media stir earlier this year was the brewery’s Shower Beer, a 10% double pale ale specifically made to be enjoyed in the shower. www.metro.co.uk/2017/01/06/shower-beer-is-here-and-its-going-to-change-lives-6364308/

Fredrik Tunedal, Pang Pang Founder, Head Brewer, Labeller, Delivery Driver, Cleaner and pretty much every other job, commented:

“It’s amazing to have my beers in the UK and I’m delighted to be working with Morgenrot as we kick things off this summer. I have the deepest respect for the UK beer scene and brewing culture and am humbled to get this chance to mess your whole notion of craft beer up.”

Morgenrot’s Commercial Director John Critchley said:

“We have been slowly building our craft beer portfolio, searching out breweries who are doing something a little bit differently, who have real personality and beers that assault the senses in the best possible way.  When the chance to speak to Fredrik came along, we jumped at it and can’t wait to unleash some craft beer Swedish mayhem on the UK this summer.”

About Pang Pang

Translated into English as Bang Bang, unique doesn’t really cover it when it comes to lone brewer Fredrik, his brewery Pang Pang and his array of full-sensory stimulating, stunning Swedish beers. Based in Hökarängen, in the south of Stockholm, Pang Pang created the Swedish wave of craft brewing when Fredrik built the brewery at age 25 back in 2010.

With the pillars of the company “hand-made” and “small scale”, Fredrik goes the long way to deliver beers that few others have the patience, grit, and power to produce. For example, the cigar smoked beer Bong Water, for which Fredrik rebuilt a fermenter into the world’s largest bong, and smoked cigars through the freshly brewed vort. PangPang – You’re alive!
