Bellwether Wines, the wine division of Peterborough-based Oakham Ales, unveils a new portfolio and corporate identity for 2014/15. Bellwether will be introducing over thirty new wines to complement its existing range with new entries from Argentina, Portugal, Italy, South Africa, Spain, Chile, France, Luxembourg and the USA. The new Bellwether logo now illustrates that it is a division of Oakham Ales by using the same font and incorporating the imagery of the strong iron rivet. To underpin its commitment of offering the best service levels to its customers all area sales managers have recently achieved Level 2 accreditation from the Wine & Spirit Education Trust and all of the sales support team have passed their level 1s. The courses focus on key grape varieties and regions of the world, equipping the team to answer queries and make recommendations to customers.
Oakham Ales have approximately two-hundred and seventy-five ‘Oakademy Members’ who serve the brewery’s award-winning ales on a permanent basis. The Company has the ability to deliver its great beer and fantastic wines in one delivery, offering the same attention to detail and customer support that customers expect from the brewery.
Bellwether Wines also has the sole UK agency and distribution rights for the highly respected wines from Dopff and Irion from Alsace. The wines from this region with its unique ‘terrior’, produce some of the greatest white wines in the world. The new portfolio also includes Sparkling Wines from Bernard-Massard in Luxembourg and a range of superb entry-level single varietal French wines – ‘Belle Fleur’.
