Nicholson’s launch ‘Hop Harvest’ beer in collaboration with Wimbledon Brewery

Brewery team and Nicholson’s Cask Masters combine for exclusive new beer

Wimbledon Brewery are pleased to announce the forthcoming launch of a brand-new beer,  ‘Hop Harvest’, brewed in conjunction with the Nicholson’s pub group.

A team of Nicholson’s pub managers – the ‘Cask Masters’ – spent time at the Brewery in SW19, tasting and talking through the style of beer they wanted with Wimbledon’s Head Brewer Charlie Long.

The resulting European Ale has been created to showcase traditional and new variety continental hops to mark the arrival of the Northern Hemisphere hop harvest.

At 4.5% ABV, the Hop Harvest, pale straw in colour, boasts notes of fruit, melon, herbs and lime zest.

Head Brewer Charlie Long says “It was a pleasure putting the beer together with the Cask Masters. We talked a lot about creating a light, refreshing ale with subtle fruit character which focused on continental hops – a move away from the American Pale Ale style – and we’re excited to see how it fares when it hits the pubs in early September.”

Hop Harvest will be launched on 11 September across the Nicholson’s estate, whose pubs are centred in London, Birmingham, the Northwest of England, Yorkshire and Scotland.
