North Bar & Kitchen on Hinckley Road has become the county’s exclusive stockist of Two Cocks – a range of glamorous beers from a Berkshire microbrewery.The beers produced by Two Cocks have won 9 awards in the two years since their launch, and has gained plaudits from none other than Raymond Blanc OBE. Served it beautifully designed bottles (complete with coloured feather) and accompanying glasses etched with the feather motif, Two Cocks provides a range of beers brewed on their farm in Berkshire.
North Bar & Kitchen was chosen as the supplier’s only venue in Leicestershire. Owner Michael Butcher said “We were thrilled to be a tiny part of the launch of North Bar and Kitchen by supplying it with our beer. We knew it would be a fabulous new venue for Leicester, so we are happy to be involved. North Bar and Kitchen is the only place in Leicester to stock our beers and will be for the foreseeable future.”
North Bar & Kitchen owner Sally Davis said “We fought hard to have Two Cocks stocked at North – it’s a great tasting range of beers with immaculate styling, and we felt it fitted perfectly with the ethos and customer base of North. We are proud to be the only stockists in the county.”
Such has been the demand for the beer that North has had to increase orders, and is now stocking a third brand in the range. North now stocks three Golden Ales from Two Cocks; the glamorous Diamond Lil 3.2% abv (with a red feather), Viscount 5.6% abv (with a two tone feather) and Roundhead 4.2% abv (with a blonde feather).
To celebrate and to accommodate for increasing demand, North Bar & Kitchen will now be open Sunday evenings until 11pm for drinks only.
Since it opened in February, North Bar & Kitchen has quickly become an established part of the West End social scene with Friday & Saturday nights and Sunday lunches fully booked in the restaurant.
