Old Golden Hen, the 4.1% golden ale, is giving away free point of sale and launching a prize draw for pubs to win branded garden kits that will freshen up and brighten outdoor spaces just in time for summer.
With every initial purchase of Old Golden Hen in April, pubs will receive a free visibility kit, which includes engaging point of sale to drive summer sales and get more guests enjoying a refreshing pint of Old Golden Hen during the warmer seasons.
To add further excitement to pub gardens, the refreshing beer brand is also offering customers the chance to be entered into a draw to win an expanded garden kit. All participating customers must do is order an additional firkin or two pins of Old Golden Hen and they will be entered into the prize draw.
Included in the garden kits are eight branded parasols, an outdoor mirror, and a garden game. There are also plant pots and seed sticks to help add fantastic theatre to beer gardens and in turn drive footfall to the pub this summer.
Spring is the perfect time to give beer gardens that needed care and attention, following the effects of the winter weather, and it’s important that they are looking their best in time for guests to start enjoying drinks outside as the warmer weather kicks in.
Installing outdoor bars are also a great way to boost profits, excite existing guests and attract new ones too, as it means guests don’t have to leave the sunshine to get another drink. With the Old Golden Hen kits up for grabs, beer gardens will be looking that bit brighter and sharper this summer.
In Spring last year, we saw overall beer sales grow by 4% as more people started visiting the pub and enjoying a drink in the beer garden, however golden cask ale grew by a whopping 11% in sales, suggesting people were looking for a lighter refreshing beer as we entered the warmer seasons*. It’s worth ensuring that pubs have taken some time to reevaluate their range on bar for the next season and have included at least one golden ale, with Old Speckled Hen being a prime option.
Kirsten Alexander, Brand Manager for the Old Speckled Hen portfolio said: “This is a fantastic chance for pubs to spruce up their beer gardens and outdoor spaces in time for warmer weather. Old Golden Hen is an ideal ale to complement the range needed on the bar for this time of year, as temperatures rise, we know that guests are looking for a refreshing, lighter beer that they can enjoy in the pub garden. With our kits, beer gardens will look that little bit brighter too and we look forward to seeing them in pub gardens in the next few months.”
