Award winning craft brewery Saltaire is to launch into 25 Sainsbury stores throughout West Yorkshire this month – as an extension to Sainsbury’s Yorkshire offer. Sainsbury’s will stock two of the Brewery’s most popular ales – Saltaire Blonde and Cascade Pale Ale. Both ales are pale but are very different in profile – the Blonde has soft malt flavours and is delicately hoped with Czech and German hop varieties and based on a recipe for a Bavarian style beer. Whereas the Cascade Pale Ale is an American style ale with floral aromas and a punchy strong bitterness from the Cascade and Centennial hops. The two ales are being introduced as Sainsbury’s is focused on offering local and regional products.
Ewen Gordon, Sales Director, “ We are proud of our great tasting, quality ales – it is fantastic news that Sainsbury’s is supporting local breweries such as Saltaire and increasing our distribution in our Yorkshire heartland. We are focused on driving sales and supporting the Saltaire brand within Sainsbury’s”.
Sainsbury’s Regional Buyer, Geraldine Bruce, commented, “We are delighted to be listing two of Saltaire Brewery’s most popular beers in our Yorkshire stores. They have already gained a solid reputation both regionally and further afield. At Sainsbury’s we are committed to providing local and regional products to offer our customers the best choice and further support our local communities.”
